AND I THOUGHT I INVENTED IT
And I Thought I Invented It
I recently started handgun shooting more for sport than self defense. I took a course last year, bought a Browning .22 and then a Taurus 92.
I've been trying to find the right grip for my hand and after some experimenting I found that using my middle finger had some obvious advantages:
(1) I could simply point with my index finger at the target,
(2) my thumb balanced my index finger shooting one-handed,
(3) my lower fingers push the grip straight back.
(4) my hand is higher on the grip.
I thought 'hey, I invented something incredibly useful'.
Then I do a Google search for middle finger trigger and what do you know, it's not new at all.
I like your index finger guide device. I think it could be slimmer. It would also look better if it was molded rather than a fixed angle. It could overlap the slide, which might be more comfortable on some guns. Ideally it would be built into a replacement grip.
